What the controller labels establish

Steam lists Windows and macOS game builds, full controller support, and PlayStation controller support. These are feature labels, not a guarantee for every third-party pad, adapter or wireless connection. The reviewed sources do not establish an Xbox-model-by-Mac compatibility table.

A DualSense connected to a PC is still running the computer version. See platform and console status before looking for a native console download.

Confirm input in Steam and in the game

  1. Connect the controller and open Steam’s controller settings. Confirm that Steam recognizes it; test its inputs there if available.
  2. Launch Electoral Carnage from your Library. Use the on-screen prompts to check menu movement and confirmation.
  3. Open the game’s controls/settings and identify the actions assigned to the controller. Do not copy a physical keyboard map onto controller buttons.
  4. Enter a local match and test movement, Attack, Special, Unique and Super separately. A working menu alone is not a full match-input check.

These are setup checks derived from Steam’s controller tools and the game’s control menu, not a claim that a particular controller was tested here.

If Steam sees the pad but the game does not

First confirm which player/input assignment the game is using, then reconnect the pad and relaunch the game. Check Steam’s game-specific controller settings instead of assuming all games use the same profile. Test a keyboard input to distinguish an unresponsive game from a controller-only problem.

If the pad is absent from Steam too, resolve its computer connection before changing game controls. If only a Remote Play guest lacks input, follow Remote Play Together setup and its input-permission checks. No reviewed source establishes a game-specific driver download as a universal fix.
